Tim is one of our bass players and a huge part of our team.  He has been playing at 7 Hills for over 4 years! Tim is a big part of what God has been doing in our church through worship and music.  We wanted to give a shout out to Tim for his commitment, excellence, great attitude and awesome bass groove skills.  Thanks Tim for who you are and all you do!

WHAT ARE YOUR "TOP 5" FAVORITE PRAISE & WORSHIP SONGS?

I am wanting to conduct this survey to see what are people's favorite praise & worship songs.  I am asking that everyone post your "Top 5" songs in the comment section of this post.  This survey is open to anyone who enjoys worship music.  Your Top 5 can be any song...praise, worship, hymn etc.  I am interested to see the diversity in songs and/or similarities in song choices.  Please keep your post to just the song titles & artists if you know it.  Share this with other friends who enjoy worship music as well.  The more comments I get, the better!  Thanks for participating!

Children's Christmas Choir Weekend

We had a great time with our Children's Christmas Choir this weekend.  The choir was made up of some of our 2nd - 5th Graders from our Newport & Florence locations.  The kids did a great job in each of our 7 weekend worship experiences.  It was a lot of fun worshipping and singing with them.  We will definitely have to do it again!  Here are a few pics from the weekend.  Great job kids!  You guys looked and sounded awesome!  Encore performance, this Wednesday, Dec. 15th @ 7PM.  Come out and let's experience "The Spirit of Christmas" together.

Christmas Stargazing

It's the Christmas season and I find myself reading the story of the birth of our Savior.  As I was reading about the wise men who followed the star to Bethlehem to find Jesus I realized a couple things...

First, if you study a bit you will realize that these wise men were "magi" or astrologers.  They were stargazers looking to the heavens for answers.  To gaze means "to fix the eyes in a steady intent look often with eagerness or studious attention".  Today, people are still "gazing", looking to the stars and many other things to find answers.  I love how God used a star to lead them to the true answer... Jesus.  I don't know what your "star" is.  The thing, or person that you are looking to to find some answers or some deeper meaning to life.  I pray that this Christmas you realize that you don't have to "stargaze" to find answers, but you can look to The One who made the stars.

Second, once they found Jesus, there was only one thing to do.  Only one thing they could do... they worshipped.  All they could do was worship.  They didn't worship the stars or anything else, but when they came into the presence of God in the flesh, they worshipped Him.  They worshipped with their body, "they bowed down".  They worshipped Him with their words of praise.  They worshipped him with their gifts, "they opened up their treasure chests and gave Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh."  Above all else, Christmas is a season of worship!

This Christmas, let us refocus our gaze and worship upon Jesus.  Merry Christmas!
